I was listening to the radio and heard the term “gypsy soul” in the song Into the Mystic by Van Morrison. I think that’s what I am, a gyspy soul. My name is Carly and I grew up in Florida, I have been living in Denver for almost 9 years now and in June 2010 I am moving to Pittsburgh with my husband, James and daughter, Dagny.
I’m not sure I have any defining interests or characteristics. There are a handful of things that will probably be a permanent part of my life, namely snowboarding, yoga and shopping at thrift stores.
I never could decide what I wanted to be when I grew up so I studied psychology, flew the friendly skies for a while, then studied engineering. After many years of putting it off out of “pragmatism” I finally became a mom last year. Now I happily stay home and take care of my daughter. I continue to seek my life’s purpose, though I’ve never felt closer than I am now. Finally started blogging over at carlykablooey.wordpress.com. Catch me over there :D
